LPA-CGR avocats announces the arrival in the Paris office of Michael Samol as a partner. He will strengthen the firm’s M&A team, particularly in the Franco-German area. <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Michael works on transactions, mostly with an international dimension. He advises French and foreign companies, in particular German companies, on their operations in France, as well as French companies on their operations abroad. He advises on M&A (including private equity and distressed M&A), domestic and cross-border restructurings as well as cooperation projects and joint ventures.<\/p>\n

He joins the firm’s M&A team in Paris, which comprises some 30 lawyers including 10 partners, as well as the German Desk<\/a> in the Paris office, which comprises some 10 lawyers including 4 partners working closely with the firm’s 3 offices in Germany (Hamburg, Frankfurt, and Munich).<\/p>\n

Michael Samol comments: “I have seen the development of LPA-CGR avocats over the last few years and I was aware of the firm’s ambitions in corporate\/M&A. I have had the opportunity to meet several partners who have demonstrated the dynamism of the firm, which is embodied in numerous innovative projects, a strong international team spirit and values that I share.\u00a0 All these elements quickly convinced me to join them!<\/em> ”<\/p>\n

Sandra Hundsd\u00f6rfer<\/a>, partner and head of the German desk, and Rapha\u00ebl Chantelot<\/a>, partner and co-head of the M&A practice with Julie Cittadini<\/a>, add “International business, and in particular Franco-German business, is in our DNA and cross border M&A is an area that we want to strengthen to meet the needs of many of our clients. The flow of business with Germany is particularly promising in the current context. Michael’s profile is rare on the market, so he quickly appeared to us as the ideal personality to achieve our growth objectives. We look forward to his arrival.<\/em> ”<\/p>\n

With this arrival, the Paris office now has 41 partners.<\/p>\n

Biographical details <\/span><\/p>\n

Michael worked for more than ten years at Clifford Chance (in the Paris, D\u00fcsseldorf, and Frankfurt offices) and was seconded for more than a year to Airbus Group. Before joining LPA-CGR avocats, he was counsel at the French law firm Jeantet.<\/p>\n

Rechtsanwalt and member of the Paris Bar (list of foreign lawyers), Michael Samol is a graduate of the Universities of D\u00fcsseldorf and Potsdam (Erstes und Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen). He also holds a postgraduate degree in International trade law and a Master’s degree in Business law from the University of Paris X, Nanterre.<\/p>\n
