LPA-CGR avocats and SZA advised Mutares on the acquisition of a production site for transmissions from automotive supplier Magna<\/h2>\n

LPA-CGR avocats advised, together with German lawfirm SZA Schilling, Zutt & Ansch\u00fctz, Mutares SE & Co. KGaA (ISIN: DE000A2NB650) on the acquisition of a production site near Bordeaux, which manufactures and assembles full transmissions from automotive supplier Magna. The transaction is expected to be completed in Q1 2023.<\/p>\n

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA is a listed private equity holding company with offices in Munich, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Helsinki, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Stockholm and Vienna. The company acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, based in Europe, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process.<\/p>\n

The Bordeaux production site manufactures premium transmissions for the automotive industry, employs 740 people and was expected to generate revenues of around EUR 200 million in 2022.<\/p>\n

This acquisition will strengthen the automotive & mobility segment of Mutares and bring deep expertise and capabilities in machining and assembly.<\/p>\n
