The world is facing two major challenges: global warming caused by the high concentration of greenhouse gases; and the loss of biodiversity, both induced by human activities that threaten our nature, our society and our economy.<\/p>\n

The deployment of renewable energy must be accelerated considerably to address the climate emergency, support energy security and provide affordable energy to end consumers.<\/p>\n

SolarPower Europe, in cooperation with BirdLife, has published a report on best practice in solar energy, biodiversity and land use. This report provides support to solar industry stakeholders, detailing EU environmental legislation relevant to solar projects.<\/p>\n
