LPA-CGR avocats continues to grow with the arrival of Marco Plankensteiner and his team

Marco Plankensteiner is joining the Paris office of LPA-CGR avocats as a partner to create the firm’s Competition and Economic Regulation practice and strengthen its Retail and Consumer activity. He is joined by Pauline Dessevre, who has been promoted to Counsel, and Alice Mollot, associate.

Specialising in French and European law, Marco assists his clients in competition investigations and defends them in litigation before the French Competition Authority and the European Commission. He intervenes in competition law disputes, particularly in actions for damages, before the French courts.

Marco has acquired solid experience in merger control, both at national and European level, and regularly coordinates multi-jurisdictional notification files on a global scale.

He advises our French and international clients on the competition law aspects of cooperation agreements (R&D, joint production and marketing, joint ventures, supply, subcontracting) and supply and distribution agreements (selective distribution, franchise networks, commercial policies).

Marco regularly represents French and foreign companies in litigation relating to French economic law (framework for commercial relations, pricing and invoicing regulations, advertising) and consumer law (unfair commercial practices, unfair clauses, distance selling, e-commerce), as well as in commercial litigation.

A native German and Italian speaker, Marco also assists German, Austrian and Italian companies in France with their investments and transnational commercial relations. He joined the firm’s German Desk in Paris, which now has around fifteen lawyers, including 6 partners.

Marco Plankensteiner comments: « We are very pleased to be joining LPA-CGR avocats, a leading French law firm with a multidisciplinary, international reach and a resolutely innovative service offering for its clients. We have identified numerous synergies with the Mergers & Acquisitions, Public Law and Banking & Finance teams in several of the firm’s key sectors, including construction, real estate, healthcare and industry. There will also be many opportunities for development with the firm’s other offices, particularly the 3 offices in Germany, a country I know very well. »

Frédéric Bailly, partner and President of the firm, adds: „These arrivals are a new illustration of the strong dynamism of the firm, which is pursuing its ambition to support its clients in all areas of law, at the highest level of expertise. The practices created and developed by Marco and his team are practices of excellence, with an international focus, closely linked to our customers sectors of activity, to whom we offer an enriched range of services. We are delighted with the arrival of this new team, which heralds the acceleration of the firm’s growth, with more arrivals to come in the very near future ! ».

With these arrivals, the Paris office now has 42 partners and 23 counsels.
