Björn Joachim is Counsel at LPA in Frankfurt
He advises national and international technology companies, investment firms as well as private and strategic investors in the fields of intellectual property, technology, IT and data law.
His practice focuses on advising on transactions, contracts and projects with a technology, IP, IT and data law dimension, in particular in connection with technology transfer, M&A transactions, investments, licensing, strategic cooperations, joint ventures, restructurings, carve-outs, outsourcing activities and research and development partnerships. He also supports clients in the analysis and implementation of new business models.
Björn Joachim has extensive experience in drafting, negotiating and implementing complex contractual structures for licensing, development, cooperation, distribution and outsourcing projects. He further advises clients on technology investments, IP, IT and data protection compliance issues, disputes relating to intellectual property rights, and the strategic alignment of IP portfolios throughout the entire lifecycle of business ideas and technologies.
He studied law in Hamburg and completed a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law and Management at the Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg. In addition to many years of experience at an international law firm, his professional background includes extensive experience as Legal Counsel and Managing Director of various companies in the field of valuation, management and commercialization of IP portfolios.
