LPA Law advises Symrise on the acquisition of Floral Concept

LPA Law, with Partner Michael Samol, advised Symrise AG on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Floral Concept, a French premium natural fragrance ingredients company.

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, in France’s Pays de Grasse region, Floral Concept is a recognized premium natural fragrance ingredients house serving leading fragrance houses and has built a strong reputation for sourcing, selecting and transforming natural raw materials into high-value fragrance ingredients. Its portfolio includes natural fragrance ingredients derived from botanicals such as jasmine, rose, orange blossom, ambrette and blackcurrant.

Through this acquisition, Symrise intends to strengthen its Premium Naturals business by combining Floral Concept’s expertise with that of Maison Lautier 1795. The transaction will enhance Symrise’s capabilities across responsible sourcing, extraction, transformation and fragrance creation, further reinforcing its position in the premium natural fragrance ingredients market.

The LPA Law team advising Symrise on this transaction was led by Michael Samol, Partner in Corporate M&A and member of the German Desk and associates Jean-Baptiste Matt and Edoardo Brizio.

The sellers were advised by Lamartine Conseil, with BNP Paribas CF acting as M&A advisor. BDO provided financial vendor due diligence.
