LPA Law advised Micro-Epsilon and Optocraft on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of V-Optics
LPA Law advised the German group Micro-Epsilon and and its subsidiary Optocraft on the acquisition of the entire share capital of the French company V-Optics, specialized in metrology technologies applied to ophthalmic lenses and precision optics.
This strategic cross-border transaction brings together three major players in the sector with the aim of creating a unique and integrated offering of optical measurement systems for the ophthalmic and optical industries, combining maximum precision, technological innovation, and operational efficiency. The three companies will now act as a single-source provider of comprehensive metrology solutions to their global client base.
V-Optics, recognized for its equipment and services dedicated to defects detection on optical components, will continue to operate from its site in Illkirch-Graffenstaden (France), ensuring continuity in research and development, production, and customer support.
Optocraft is a global leader in wave-front sensors and measurement systems for the ophthalmic, optics and laser industry.
Micro-Epsilon complements the partnership with extensive expertise in precision measurement technology. Through this acquisition, V-Optics significantly strengthens its market position and gains a solid foundation for long-term growth within the Micro-Epsilon group.
The LPA Law team advising Micro-Epsilon and Optocraft on this transaction was headed by Christian Sauer, partner, and Karim Ben Khamsa, associate, on mergers and acquisitions and corporate law matters; and further included Sandra Hundsdörfer, partner, and Aude Dumas, associate, on employment law; and Mathieu Selva-Roudon, partner, and Guillaume Saleh, associate, on tax aspects.
