Alexander Koukal is a partner at LPA Law’s Vienna Office. He has been advising clients nationally and internationally on IP/IT and media law for more than 20 years
Alexander Koukal has been with the Vienna office since 2002. His practice focuses on IP/IT, media, personality rights, advertising and entertainment, as well as online distribution. In these fields, he assists domestic and foreign clients in implementing projects and represents their interests before courts and authorities. More recently, he has been developing legal solutions for the energy transition, advising renewable energy communities and decarbonization projects.
Alexander is co-author of the standard work on Austrian media law and a practical commentary on copyright law. He is a lecturer in the LL.M. program in information and media law at the University of Vienna and teaches copyright law and online marketing at the Vienna Advertising Academy.
His good understanding of technical issues benefits him in his consulting work and enables him to communicate legal aspects in the language of his clients. He is known for his precise work and clear, client-friendly wording.
