Tokyo seminar | Yoshiki Tsurumaki to speak on legal liability for cybersecurity risks in supply chains (archived session)
LPA Tokyo is pleased to announce that Yoshiki Tsurumaki, Partner and Head of Japanese Law Practice, will present an archived online session of the webinar “Legal Liability for Cybersecurity Risks in Supply Chains: Lessons from Court Precedents” on Wednesday, 29 July 2026.
Following the positive response to the live seminar held on 17 June, this archived session will provide another opportunity to attend the programme.
The webinar examines a Tokyo District Court judgment concerning the leakage of credit card information through a payment module used on an e-commerce website. It discusses practical issues including the allocation of liability between clients and vendors, cybersecurity obligations, and implied contractual duties.
The session also covers recent developments in cybersecurity assessment frameworks for supply chains, together with practical considerations for internal controls and internal audit.
