Yoshiki Tsurumaki is a partner in the Corporate and M&A practice at LPA Tokyo where he leads the Japanese law practice

With over 23 years of experience in Japanese and international law, Yoshiki is recognised for his expertise in corporate and business law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, finance, capital markets, venture capital, ESG, data centres, and real estate.

Yoshiki advises Japanese and international corporates, financial institutions, private equity funds, venture capital investors, and start-ups, on cross-border investments as well as strategic and complex transactions in Japan and across Asia.

Admitted to the Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar in 2003, Yoshiki previously served as a partner at King & Wood (previously King & Wood Mallesons) in Tokyo, where he played a leading role in the Japanese law practice. He previously worked at Atsumi & Sakai following in-house experience at NTT Data and a secondment to Mitsubishi Securities (currently Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities) and later practised in New York at Dewey & LeBoeuf after completing his LL.M. at Vanderbilt University Law School. He is a graduate of Waseda University.

Yoshiki is a regular speaker and author on M&A, finance, technology, data protection, and start-up investment.
