Javed Allybokus, Counsel in LPA Law’s Banking & Finance team, will be attending the Africa Credit Rating Conference, taking place on 5 and 6 October 2026 in Mauritius, under the theme “Towards Developing African Capital Markets: Rechannelling Africa’s Capital.” The conference will convene leading stakeholders from the African and international financial sectors to discuss credit ratings, access to financing and the development of African capital markets.

On 7 October, Javed will also have the honour of attending the exclusive launch cocktail of the Africa Credit Rating Agency (AfCRA), a continental initiative spearheaded by the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM). This gathering will bring together key stakeholders from across the African financial ecosystem to mark the launch of this important initiative in Mauritius.
