Japan seminar | Pascal Mages and Yoshiki Tsurumaki to discuss EU AI Act, GDPR and generative AI compliance for Japanese companies

LPA Tokyo is pleased to announce that Pascal Mages and Yoshiki Tsurumaki, Partners at LPA Tokyo, will speak at the online seminar: “EU Regulatory Compliance in the Age of Generative AI – Practical Guidance for Japanese Companies on the AI Act, GDPR and the Digital Omnibus” to be held on Friday, 11 September 2026.

The seminar will provide practical guidance on the latest developments relating to the EU AI Act, GDPR, and the Digital Omnibus, with a particular focus on what Japanese companies should do when using generative AI solutions such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini.

  • the risk-based approach under the AI Act;
  • high-risk AI systems and General Purpose AI (GPAI);
  • interaction between the AI Act and GDPR;
  • cross-border data transfers and contractual considerations;
