LPA Law advises Mutares on the proposed sale of Clecim to Fouré Lagadec (SNEF Group)
LPA Law with Partner Michael Samol, advised Mutares SE & Co. KGaA in connection with the irrevocable offer received from Fouré Lagadec, a subsidiary of the SNEF Group, to acquire its portfolio company Clecim SAS.
Clecim SAS, a renowned industrial player with more than 100 years of expertise, specializes in carbon and stainless-steel processing lines, stainless steel rolling mills, as well as mechatronic products and metallurgical services. Headquartered in Montbrison, France, the company employs around 200 people and generates revenues of approximately EUR 55 million.
Since its acquisition from Primetals Technologies Group in 2021, Clecim has been supported by Mutares and its operations team in a successful transformation and optimization program. The company has strengthened its competitiveness, streamlined its cost structure, and diversified into new markets such as defense and energy.
The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to customary conditions and the consultation of the relevant works councils.
