LPA Singapore hosts Corporate Strategy discussion at Rémy Cointreau
Last week, LPA Singapore had the pleasure of hosting around 20 guests at Rémy Cointreau for an engaging evening of discussion and networking on “The Corporate makeover – Rethinking the modern company.”
Our Corporate & M&A team, led by partners Bérengère Roig and Arnaud Bourrut-Lacouture, alongside Lisbeth Lanvers-Shah, Of Counsel, was joined by Aude Florence Ousaci, APAC General Counsel at Rémy Cointreau, to explore strategic questions businesses are facing when going through transformation: what to keep, what to optimise, and what to acquire?
Three key takeaways from the discussion:
- KEEP what creates long lasting value.
People, leadership, values, strategic expertise, customer relationships and client-centric culture remain essential assets. In an increasingly digital and AI-driven world, human connections and local market knowledge can be powerful differentiators.
- TRANSFORM what no longer serves a purpose.
Excessive meetings, legacy processes and complex approval chains can slow organisations down. Rethinking established ways of working is not simply about cutting costs, it is about creating more agile, efficient and focused businesses.
- BUY what accelerates the business.
Whether they are buying exceptional historic terroirs and savoir faire to diversify their portfolio or buying technological capabilities to deliver at the speed of the market, companies always carefully assess whether to build internally, partner with others or acquire new capabilities. The right choice depends on strategic priorities, speed of execution and the value each option can create.
Ultimately, a corporate makeover is not just about restructuring. It is about making deliberate choices: preserving what differentiates the business, letting go of what holds it back, and investing in what will drive its next phase of growth.
A warm thank you to Rémy Cointreau for hosting us, to Aude Florence Ousaci for sharing her insights, and to all our guests for making this such an enjoyable intimate evening, made even more special by a tasting of Champagne Telmont.
Here’s to more meaningful connections and memorable evenings. Looking forward to the next one!
