Etienne Laumonier is a partner in the Ho Chi Minh City office.
Etienne’s professional journey has taken him across Japan, Vietnam, and Indonesia, where he has worked with both private and public entities.
Etienne’s practice primarily focuses on competition law and policy, capital market transactions, international trade (including WTO matters), and legal cooperation. His experience includes providing technical assistance on economic integration and legal reform. Notably, he supported Vietnam’s National Committee for International Economic Cooperation in preparing key trade negotiations.
As a specialist in corporate acquisitions, Etienne has been instrumental in landmark transactions in Vietnam, involving both listed and unlisted entities across various sectors such as utilities, manufacturing, healthcare, and hospitality.
He is also a highly regarded competition law practitioner, advising clients on all aspects of competition law and policy. Recently, he has been recognized for his innovative approaches in structuring and financing transactions involving listed entities on Vietnam’s capital market.
Etienne graduated in International Law from Cergy-Pontoise University and holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Asian Business.
