We are the only French business law firm in Japan.

In 2016, we opened an office in Tokyo run by two partners that have been working in Japan since 2006 and are registered with the Bar of Paris and of Tokyo.

Our office’s multicultural and multilingual team of six lawyers in Tokyo assists its Japanese and international clients in the preparation, documentation, negotiation and implementation of their investment projects and national and cross-border commercial operations, both in Japan and abroad.

Its expertise covers all essential aspects of business life in Japan, such as external growth operations, joint ventures, strategic and cross-border partnerships, distribution, commercial contracts, labour law, intellectual property and litigation.

It assists its clients in the following main business sectors: the automobile industry, pharmaceuticals/chemicals/cosmetics, energy/renewable energy, infrastructures/projects, service industry (hospitality/sports/music) and e-business/digital marketing.

Our Tokyo office also works closely with our “Japan Desk”, made of French and Japanese lawyers based in Paris, to assist Japanese companies with their projects in France.

Our Japan Desk in Paris is operated by a team of lawyers qualified at the Paris, Tokyo and New York Bars, with working experiences in France and abroad.

Our Tokyo office and our Paris Japan Desk work in close cooperation and advise both Japanese companies investing in France and French companies investing in Japan,  as well as foreign clients on their cross border transactions.
